10th Aug 2010 17:03:59
The small women’s team continued to compete with commendable spirit and greatly benefited from the big hearted input of the Hopeson sisters Joselynn and Twinelle who contested seven events four of which resulted in A string victories three of them, 100m, 200m and 400m going to U20 prospect Twinelle who was dominant in the 200m and 400m , in the latter finishing over 5sec clear in 59.3sec. Now that the track season is finally beginning to wind up, I have now found the time to upload the many videos that I've filmed throughout the season which have been laying dormant on my SD card!

Please find the selection from early in the season below, with lots more to follow.

Ordinarily, these would be included on our MULTI-MEDIA page, however, as these are quite old, they'll instead be filed away under their appropriate fixture.

Enjoy!!!

Harriers young athletes battle valiantly in cup finalby: Matthew Kiernan
2nd Aug 2010 14:10:33
Croydon Harriers’ young athletes' team endured a baptism of fire at the inaugural McCain’s NATYAL Southern area final on Sunday.

Although Croydon were in the mix in the Under 13 and Under 15 age groups, it was a lack of Under 17’s that proved fatal as they finished 8th out of the eight competing clubs at Hendon.

There were still plenty of performances to be proud of for the Harriers however, with Cameron Smith bowing out of the young athletes ranks in ....

Senior men go down fightingby: Matthew Kiernan
2nd Aug 2010 13:57:33
Croydon Harriers' senior men may have bowed out of the 2nd tier of the Southern League today at Hastings, but certainly didn't go down without a fight.

A hat-trick of wins from Kariym Irving (Shot Putt, HJ and Discus) as well as a plethora of 2nd placings including Oweka Wanogho, Darren Wollen and Nic Spence to name but a few kept us in the mix.

But despite the best efforts of those willing to fill gaps in unfamiliar territory, a ....

29th Jul 2010 14:08:31
Croydon Harriers' senior international duo of Martyn Rooney and James Dasaolu experienced contrasting fortunes yesterday at the European Championships in Barcelona.

James Dasaolu though missed out on qualification for the final despite being well placed to go through as a fastest loser. He missed out by ....

International Debut for James as he qualifies for Semi Finalby: Martin Rowe
27th Jul 2010 22:57:12
James Dasaolu performed well in his first round heat this evening and finished 3rd with a 10.40 which puts him through to the Semi Final on Thursday.
A baptism of Fire being an International debut for James and a testing first Round race which James coped with well. A strong good performance all the way, out of the blocks nicely with a stagger away and engaged the big muscle groups and transfered the power well in his running.
Qualifying is what it ....
