In a belated news item, Croydon Harriers were very proud to host the inaugural Gold Challenge track & field day at Croydon Arena last month.
The Gold Challenge is a charity event wherein budding members of the public attempt 20+ Olympic disciplines in the run up to London 2012 in aid of their chosen charities. As a club, we welcomed over thirty budding participants to take part in four events during the afternoon. Paul Weston led sprints & relays, Mike Fleet led Javelin, James Eccles led long jump and Matthew Kiernan led a 400m challenge. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all and we hope to host more of these days in our Olympic Year. For a full report of the day, click here | |
