A trio of Croydon Harriers picked up wins at the highly competitive U15/U20 Southern Inter-Counties championships at Barnet Copthall on Saturday.

Under-20 Oweka Wanogho capped off his fine season with a 10.87secs clocking in the 100m to take the spoils, while Twinelle Hopeson (11.96secs) enjoyed similar success in the women’s equivalent.

Lawrence Okoye, 6th in this year’s World Junior championships, displayed an impressive return to form in the U20M discus, winning thanks to a 58.64m effort.

And it could have been four wins for the Harriers, with Shirin Irving unluckily being edged out on the line to 2nd in the U15G 75m hurdles in 11.34secs.

Further podium finishes came courtesy of U20M Kariym Irving (high jump, 1.85m) and Patrick Lucas (800m, 2:06.26), who both came 3rd.

Eleanor Smith-Hahn completed the Croydon contingent, narrowly missing out on the U15G 100m final, finishing 5th in her heat in 13.13secs.
