Mark Plackett on the way to winning his 2nd ParkRun event Black Park 5km ParkRun, 21st August Ian Wright became the third Harrier to win a ParkRun 5km event (joining Mark Plackett and Peter Chambers) by taking the spoils at the Black Park course this weekend in 18.21m. Banstead Woods 5km ParkRun, 21st August 5th Andy Del Nevo, 19:05 (his 49th event) 83rd,Dave Warren , 26.18 (his 54th event) BMC Regional, 18th August 800m Patrick Lucas (U15), 2:01.9 (PB) Bedford International Games, 14th August Triple Jumper Trevor Okoroafor put himself into contention to be selected for the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October, thanks to a 2nd place finish at the Bedford International Games last week. The 20-year-old leapt impressively to 15.62m for runners-up spot, in front of an on looking England Athletics selection panel. Jonathan Ilori (13.93m) and Nana Owusu-Nyantekyi (13.82m) placed 10th and 11th in the same event. Banstead Woods 5km, 14thAugust Mark Plackett won his second ParkRun event last week with a cracking run of 16:51 to just sneak home to secure the honours. 59th, Dave Warren, 24.26 Roundshaw Downs 5km ParkRun, 14th August Stevie Lawrence enjoyed the best possible start to her ParkRun career by winning the women’s race on debut in 22:13.
