Croydon Harriers celebrated their 90th anniversary in style at the Arena this month. Club members from the past and present were in attendance to celebrate the Harriers with a range of fun activities, followed by a buffet in the evening. Martyn Rooney and Donna Fraser made a welcome return to the club for the afternoon and both were greeted by their newly framed photos upon the wall of the clubhouse. Families were treated to football, walking and ball throw challenges, while there were also surprises in the form of a Croydon Harriers cake and special welcome mat, both of which were an incredible spectacle. There was also time to reflect upon the club's vast history, with an aray of club scrapbooks on display for everyone to witness. In the evening, there was an excellent buffet at Trinity School, and the collected gathering were serenaded by Will Campbell who displayed his violin playing prowess. An enjoyable time was had by the 100 or so members that attended. Special thanks to everyone who contributed to a wonderful club celebration, especially to Mike and Nicola Fleet, who did a cracking in the organisation.
