 Victorious Quartet - Stirling, Patrick, Marvin and Femi  Magnificent Mark stands by his winning time in the 1500m Steeple Chase at the YAL Round 4 match  U17 Long Jump runner-up Kyle Andrews  Katie Rushmer U15 High Jump Runner-up on club debut  U15 4x400m Relay - Stirling hands over safely to Patrick at the YAL Round 4 match last week  Peter Chambers en route to 1500m win Croydon Harriers' young athletes made history on Sunday, when they became the club’s first mixed team to reach a major cup final.
Their high-scoring second place in their last match in the UKA Young Athletes Campaign at the Albert Road Arena on Sunday earned them a spot in the UKA South of England Final at Hendon on Sunday, August 1.
With points at a premium all the boys and girls, including two making their debuts, performed superbly to notch up a safe total U15 captain Patrick Lucas ran beautifully to win the 1500m in four minutes, 32.62 seconds and Marvin Burke cleared a PB of 1.60m for his high jump victory. First year U15 Joshua Haasz excelled, placing second in both the 1500m and high jump for maximum points.
Together with double track winner Femi Agepoyin, they formed an invincible 4x400m team too.
U15 Shirin Irving dominated the 75m hurdles and shot.
Another dominant hurdler was Taylor Campbell, who finished almost half a second clear of the rest of the field.
U13 sprinter Nathan Best lived up to his name with clear wins in the 100m, 200m and shot, while U17 Josh Atille added a good 400m third to an impressive sprint double.
Yet again Peter Chambers put his stamp of quality in the U17 800m and 1500m with powerful wins and Mark Plackett broke new ground in the 1500m s/c with a winning time of 4:46.65.
The club’s relay teams shone too with four wins and two seconds.

With Match 3 and this one, we will be going through to the Area Finals !! Excellent attendance is a must !
