Here at Croydon Harriers we are proud to offer some of the best athletics coaching available anywhere in the borough, the county and beyond!

Thanks to our vastly experienced coaches, all our groups are renowned for providing an unbeatable atmosphere in which all our athletes thrive, reach their goals and also have fun at the same time!

What is more, all track and field events are catered for, as well as road running and cross-country.

We are also always on the look out for new members, and no matter what your ability, age or gender, you are always more than welcome to join us.

Sprint Training
The current group is made up of members of all ages, genders and abilities. It is not unusual for us to attract 30-45 sprinters on a training evening and new members are always welcome.

We train twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday evening, at Croydon Sports Arena. If you are under 11 then you train with Clarence Riley and his group kicks off at 6pm (training switches to Trinity school during Winter). If you are 11-14 or a new member then training kicks off at 6.15pm on a Tuesday. All members 14+ kick off at 7pm on both days.

All sessions are led by Paul Weston (UK Athletics Level 2) and Mike (UK Athletics Level 2).

Middle – Long Distance Training
The current group is made up of members of all ages, genders and abilities. It is not unusual for us to attract 30-40 runners on a training evening and new members are always welcome.

We train twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday evening, at Croydon Sports Arena. Training kicks off at 7pm sharp. During the Winter, we also hold circuit training at Trinity school on a Wednesday evening. Training is open for anyone aged 11+ and with no upper age limit!

All sessions are led Mike Fleet (UK Athletics Level 4), Matthew Kiernan (UK Athletics Level 1) and Joe Esposito (UK Athletics Level 2, picture to follow).

Road Running and XC Training
In addition to the extensive track training we offer, we also organise road-running sessions on Sundays when it doesn’t clash with races.

These range between 3 miles – 18 miles in duration, but there are always loops of 6 miles (back to where we started) and the group will always run together so no-one will get left behind.
Ordinarily we meet at Lloyd Park car park at 2pm, however in the first instance please contact Matthew Kiernan to confirm the details of the run.

Throws
We are proud to have produced some of the best throwers in the region and cater for all throwing events. New members of all abilities are always welcome.

We train twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday evening, at Croydon Sports Arena. The groups are led by the following coaches:
Chris King - Discus, Shot & Hammer. 6.30pm start.
Mike Fleet – Javelin or High Jump 7:30pm start.
